Senior Estate & Litigation Paralegal — 14-Month Maternity Leave

Role overview

A Vancouver law firm is seeking a Senior Estate & Litigation Paralegal for a 14-month maternity-leave contract. The position works across a broad litigation practice including general civil, estates, personal injury, construction and employment matters and requires an experienced paralegal who can organize complex files, draft litigation materials and support discoveries, mediations and trials.

Responsibilities

• Review and organize file materials and maintain clear file summaries and chronologies.
• Prepare pleadings including Notices of Civil Claim, Responses, Lists of Documents, applications and affidavits.
• Analyze wills, trusts, financial statements and other key documents.
• Track procedural deadlines and compliance requirements.
• Assist lawyers with discovery, mediation and trial preparation.

• Accredited Paralegal program.
• Seven or more years of estate and general-litigation experience across plaintiff and defence work.
• Strong Microsoft Word and Outlook skills; iManage and Soluno are assets.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and provide client-centred service.

Full-time 14-month maternity-leave contract in Vancouver. The official R.
