Role overview

Red Seal Recruiting is recruiting a Cladding Estimator / Project Manager for a family-owned roofing and cladding contractor in the Greater Vancouver market. The company has more than 30 years of operating history and the role combines pre-construction estimating with project execution for commercial and architectural cladding work.

Responsibilities

The position quantifies scope from drawings and site conditions, develops estimates from tender documents, prepares proposals and tender forms and reviews contracts. After award, the manager prepares submittals, issues work orders and communicates scope to production and field teams, then manages projects through completion. The role also uses CNC nesting and related tools to optimize material use and reduce waste.

• 5–10 years of relevant estimating/project-management experience.
• Architectural sheet-metal experience in industrial, commercial or institutional construction is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of corrugated and standing-seam metal cladding/roofing.
• Architectural composite and fibre-cement wall-panel experience.
• CNC nesting and CAD capability.
• Microsoft Access/database manipulation and Microsoft Office skills.
• Construction-related post-secondary education is preferred.
• Strong communication and professional written correspondence.
