Role overview

Red Seal Recruiting is recruiting a Millwright for a busy family-owned manufacturing operation in London, Ontario that is adding maintenance capacity as the business grows. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and production systems, adjusting equipment and working with mechanical components such as bearings and motors while keeping production downtime as low as possible.

Maintenance responsibilities

The Millwright performs preventive maintenance, records completed work in the computerized maintenance system and identifies opportunities to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency. The employee follows workplace, food-safety and sanitation requirements and supports production operations with voluntary overtime when required. The posting describes an afternoon Monday-to-Friday schedule and an extended health plan including vision, chiropractic and prescription coverage.

• 433A Millwright certification is preferred; experienced candidates without the ticket may be considered.
• Refrigeration B Operator certificate is an asset.
• Approximately three years of mechanical-maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and solve production-equipment problems.
