Role overview

R. Johnson Legal Recruitment is recruiting a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal for a respected Vancouver law firm. The role combines file progression, client communication, legal drafting and trial-preparation support in an active litigation practice.

Responsibilities

  • Manage file progression, gather supporting documentation and coordinate settlements.
  • Act as a primary client contact and collect claim-related information.
  • Draft, file and serve pleadings and application materials.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with Chambers appearances and trial preparation.
  • Monitor limitation periods and maintain critical deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal diploma.
  • LAA diploma plus 3–5 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong organization, document management, investigation, research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, internet applications and case-management software.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize deadlines and handle confidential information professionally.
