Role overview

R. Johnson Legal Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Litigation Paralegal for a growing collections practice in Vancouver. The role supports the full debt-recovery lifecycle, from commencing proceedings and obtaining judgments through post-judgment enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Provincial Court and BC Supreme Court pleadings, affidavits, document lists and enforcement applications.
• Prepare garnishing orders, payment-hearing materials and other post-judgment documents.
• Support bankruptcy matters for unsecured creditors when required.
• Communicate with clients, debtors and third parties and manage deadlines and limitation periods.
• Use required case-management/timekeeping systems and maintain compliant files.

• Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience in British Columbia.
• Collections, financial-institution, government/regulatory or CRA/ICBC experience is an asset.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Protected B security status.
• Strong Word, Outlook, Adobe and office-software skills.
• Excellent judgment, communication, deadline management and confidentiality.
