Role description
A hands-on Finance Controller role with a transportation and logistics organization in Mississauga. The position leads day-to-day finance and accounting, including AP/AR, billing, payroll, reconciliations, general ledger, month-end and year-end close, cash-flow analysis, budgeting, variance reporting and financial statements. The Controller also mentors the accounting team, strengthens internal controls, improves processes and provides practical financial insight to operating leaders and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Requires 5+ years in a Finance Manager, Controller or comparable senior finance role, experience leading an accounting team, budgeting/forecasting/cash-flow and financial-statement expertise, advanced Excel and strong communication. Transportation, trucking, logistics or a similar operating environment is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related field and a professional accounting designation such as CPA/CMA/ACCA/CA or equivalent are required.
