General Labour Worker

Role overview

ABL Employment is recruiting a full-time temporary General Labour Worker for a busy industrial worksite in the Newmarket area. The position moves between indoor warehouse work and an outdoor yard and is suited to someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work, can take direction and wants to learn different parts of an industrial operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labour and warehouse duties throughout the shift.
• Assist with outdoor yard work in varying weather conditions.
• Move, sort and organize materials.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organized.
• Assist experienced team members with day-to-day tasks and learn different areas of the operation.
• Follow supervisor instructions and complete other physical duties as required.

• Previous hands-on work experience is required in at least one area such as trades, construction, landscaping, industrial work or warehouse/general labour.
• Comfort working both indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to perform physical work and follow direction from senior staff.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to scheduled shifts.
• Ability to work safely and cooperatively as part of a team.
• Own vehicle is required because the site is not transit-accessible.

Full-time temporary assignment in Newmarket with a day shift starting around 8:00 a.m. Published rate is $20/hour. The posting asks employees to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled shift. RBB uses the exact ABL page, which provides both email and online application options.
