Role description

Role overview

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Toronto for an enterprise application assignment centered on object-oriented development, service integration and maintainable software delivery. The developer contributes to solution design, coding, testing and production support while working in an Agile environment with architecture and security constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain enterprise application components and services.
  • Develop microservices and integrations using established object-oriented patterns.
  • Participate in Agile planning, estimation, reviews and continuous improvement.
  • Write automated tests and resolve defects across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Apply security, performance and data-management requirements to implementation decisions.

Qualifications

  • Senior object-oriented software-development experience.
  • Experience building enterprise services, APIs or microservices.
  • Strong relational-database and application-integration knowledge.
  • Experience with Agile teams, testing and secure development practices.
  • Ability to support complex applications through implementation and production.
