CNC Punch Press Operator(Strippit Global and Amada)

Afternoon-shift role in Richmond Hill operating Strippit Global and Amada CNC punch presses to produce light-gauge fabricated components to specified tolerances.

Key responsibilities

• Set up tooling and load or adjust CNC programs.
• Inspect tools and parts during production.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and specified tolerances.
• Support light-gauge fabrication and shearing work.
• Adjust machine parameters as required.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Work with the production team to meet output targets.
• Lift up to 60 lb manually and use a hoist for heavier material.

Skills and experience

• Extensive experience operating Strippit Global and Amada CNC punch presses.
• Proven ability to produce parts to close dimensional tolerances.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools including Vernier calipers, protractors and tape measures.
• Experience with light-gauge fabrication and shearing.
• Experience with tooling setup, program loading and machine-parameter adjustment.
• Forklift experience is an asset.
• Hardware-insertion and other metal-fabrication experience are assets.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lb and safely use a hoist for heavier loads.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

• Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario.
• Pay: $21–$26 per hour.
• Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
• Job type: temporary to full-time.
