Metal Finisher

Metal-finishing role in Richmond Hill focused on producing the required surface quality.

Key responsibilities

• Grind, sand and polish metal components.
• Inspect finished parts against drawings and quality standards.
• Operate hand and power finishing tools.
• Maintain equipment and the work area.
• Follow safety and PPE requirements.
• Work with the production team to meet targets.
• Identify opportunities to improve the finishing process.
• Support other shop areas and product assembly when required.

Skills and experience

• Experience grinding, sanding and polishing metal components.
• Knowledge of metals, especially cold-rolled steel and aluminum.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand and power finishing tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Endurance for prolonged standing and safe handling of heavier materials.
• Basic math for counting and time tracking.
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE use.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to support other shop areas and assembly work.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario.
• Pay: $19–$22 per hour depending on experience and skill.
• Shift: morning.
• Job type: temporary to full-time.
