Print Shop Cutter Operator

Commercial-print production role in Woodbridge operating industrial paper cutters, with a strong focus on accuracy, quality and production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial paper cutters to trim printed materials to job specifications.
• Review job tickets, work orders and cutting instructions.
• Set up and program cutter jobs.
• Verify finished sizes, bleeds and trim marks before and during production.
• Maintain consistent cutting accuracy throughout production runs.
• Perform quality checks before work moves to the next stage.
• Organize finished work for additional finishing or shipping.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic cutter maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized production area.
• Work efficiently to meet daily schedules and deadlines.
• Assist with other bindery and finishing duties when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a commercial or industrial paper cutter in a print shop.
• Strong attention to detail and measuring skills.
• Ability to read and understand job tickets and production specifications.
• Experience with digital and/or offset printed materials.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs.
• Good organization and time management.
• Ability to lift and move paper and finished print materials.
• Experience with Polar cutters is an asset.

• Location: Woodbridge, Ontario.
• Pay: $20–$25 per hour depending on experience.
• Shift: morning.
• Job type: temporary to full-time.
