Role description

Morning-shift CNC position in Woodbridge setting up, programming and operating AMADA turret punch presses.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up tooling and prepare AMADA turret punch presses for production.
  • Load and adjust programs and machine parameters.
  • Read production drawings and CAD/CAM output.
  • Complete first-piece verification before continuing a run.
  • Make basic CNC program edits and select appropriate tooling.
  • Troubleshoot machine or process issues.
  • Perform precision measurements and quality-control checks.
  • Work to production, quality and safety targets.

Qualifications

Skills and experience

  • Minimum two years of direct AMADA CNC punch-press setup and operating experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and CAD/CAM output.
  • Experience conducting first-piece inspections.
  • Basic CNC program-editing and tool-selection skills.
  • Precision-measurement and quality-control experience.
  • Safe material-handling practices and availability to meet production requirements.

  • Pay: from $24 per hour.
  • Shift: morning.
