Cake Factory / Bakery

General-labour bakery position in a Richmond Hill cake-manufacturing facility. Duties vary by department.

Possible duties

• Mixing and portioning ingredients or product.
• Supporting baking operations.
• Packing and sorting finished product.
• Moving materials within the facility.
• Performing basic quality checks.
• Following food-safety, sanitation and workplace-hygiene procedures.

The assignment begins as temporary work. Alliance states that reliable employees with strong attendance and a willingness to learn may be offered full-time work.

Skills and experience

• Previous food-production or bakery experience is an asset but is not required.
• Ability to follow food-safety, sanitation and hygiene procedures.
• Physical stamina to stand for a full shift and safely lift roughly 20–25 kg.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Team-oriented attitude.
• Basic reading and communication skills for instructions and production labels.
• Willingness to work variable shifts, including early mornings or weekends when required.

• Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario.
• Pay: from $18.25 per hour.
• Several shifts are currently available.
