Role description
Beauce Atlas is hiring a day-shift specialized labourer for Plant 1 in Sainte-Marie. The role supports the flow of parts between production departments and is responsible for identification, dimensional conformity and inventory control.
Main responsibilities
- Review production priorities using drawings, memos and cut sheets.
- Measure part length, width and thickness to confirm conformity with shop drawings.
- Transfer parts between assembly, welding and material-output areas using the conveyor and overhead crane.
- Identify each processed part using the contract number and part number.
- Ensure project drawings are distributed to the appropriate production stages.
- Classify parts in inventory and maintain inventory control.
- Report raw-material non-conformities.
Qualifications
- Ability to convert imperial measurements to metric.
- Experience with an overhead crane.
- Knowledge of steel and profile dimensions is considered an asset.
- Basic blueprint reading is considered an asset.
- Good interpretation of cut sheets.
- Good judgment and resourcefulness.
Additional information
Status: permanent, full-time, day shift.
Posted pay: CAD 25.22 to 27.54 gross per hour.
