Role description
This welder position at the Sainte-Marie plant involves fabricating and welding structural steel components in accordance with manufacturing instructions, procedures, finish categories and specified tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Review production priorities and organize the workstation safely.
- Move certain parts using an overhead crane.
- Read and interpret welding symbols shown on the parts.
- Preheat and clean parts when required.
- Select the appropriate process, perform the weld and verify the quality of the result.
- Record welded parts in the system and have the final weld inspected.
Qualifications
- Vocational diploma in welding and fitting or structural steel assembly.
- Knowledge of welding symbols.
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Experience with structural steel is considered an asset.
- Precise, meticulous and quality-focused profile.
