Role description

The specialized labourer supports the flow of material and parts between production departments using drawings, memos and cutting lists.

Responsibilities

  • Review production priorities.
  • Measure parts to confirm compliance with shop drawings.
  • Transfer parts between departments using conveyors and overhead cranes.
  • Identify parts with contract and part numbers.
  • Ensure project drawings are distributed.
  • Classify and control part inventory.
  • Report raw-material nonconformities.

Qualifications

  • Ability to convert imperial and metric measurements.
  • Overhead crane experience.
  • Knowledge of steel sizes and profiles is an asset.
  • Basic blueprint reading and good interpretation of cutting lists are assets.
  • Good judgment and resourcefulness.

Conditions

  • Permanent full-time contract.
  • Evening shift in Sainte-Marie.
  • Advertised pay: CAD 26.72 to 29.04/hour.
