Machinist — Plant 1 — Weekend

Beauce Atlas is hiring a full-time machinist for its Sainte-Marie plant. The role operates and monitors cutting and machining equipment used for structural-steel components and ensures each part matches production documentation.

Main responsibilities

• Inspect the machine at the beginning of each shift.
• Use cut sheets to verify that selected stock minimizes material waste.
• Load material onto the machine rollers using the transfer conveyor, overhead crane or other appropriate equipment.
• Verify barcodes, dimensions and material grades and report non-conformities.
• Transfer identification numbers to processed parts and move them to the next production stage or back to the yard.
• Record inventory tags and cut-sheet information to maintain traceability.
• Monitor machine operation throughout the shift.

• Vocational diploma in CNC machining.
• Ability to understand profile manuals and work with imperial and metric measurements.
• Basic computer skills.
• Blueprint-reading ability is considered an asset.
• Precision, attention to detail, autonomy and initiative.

Status: permanent, full-time, weekend shift.

Posted pay: CAD 29.94 to 33.35 gross per hour.
