Role description
Fly-in/fly-out Drill & Blast Engineer opportunity supporting a growing Ontario open-pit mining operation. The position begins on contract on a two-weeks-on / two-weeks-off rotation and pays $65 per hour plus overtime. The engineer supports and optimizes drill-and-blast activity and is expected to combine technical mine-engineering knowledge with practical operational judgment.
Role focus
• Support drill-and-blast planning and operational optimization for an open-pit mine.
• Review technical data and production performance and identify opportunities to improve drilling, blasting and downstream results.
• Contribute to mine planning, forecasting, process improvement and coordination with operating teams.
• Use engineering and CAD tools to support plans and technical decisions.
• Work within established safety, production and operating standards in a rotational mine environment.
Profile
A degree in Mining Engineering and solid open-pit drill-and-blast experience are central requirements.
