Role overview

The CAD/CAM Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and optimizing manufacturing processes and tool paths for precision machining. The role translates design concepts into production-ready digital models and collaborates with production teams to improve efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify 2D/3D models using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Mastercam.
  • Program CNC machines and optimize tool paths for accuracy and productivity.
  • Collaborate with production, design and quality teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturability.
  • Maintain documentation of designs, tool paths and revision histories.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM programming and CNC operations.
  • Knowledge of materials, machining processes and tooling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
