Role overview
The CNC Programmer develops, tests and implements CNC programs for milling, turning and other precision machining processes, working with engineering teams to support efficient production and tight tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam, Fusion 360 or similar software.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feeds based on materials and design.
- Troubleshoot programming and machining issues during setup and production.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to improve productivity and quality.
- Maintain and update documentation for programs and process changes.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in CNC Programming, Mechanical Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience programming multi-axis CNC machines.
- Strong understanding of G-code, machining principles and toolpath optimization.
- Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.
