Recruitment Specialist

About the opportunity

Dawn Recruiting Agency is recruiting a Recruitment Specialist for a six-month remote contract supporting a fast-growing retail-sales organization. The role focuses on high-volume recruitment and owns multiple sourcing, screening, coordination and pipeline-management activities.

The specialist will work with field teams and hiring managers to maintain candidate flow, support onboarding and continuously improve sourcing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Source and engage candidates through online platforms, job fairs, employment centres and employee referrals.
• Conduct virtual screenings and interviews in a high-volume environment.
• Assess candidate skills, qualifications and culture fit.
• Present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
• Collaborate with field teams to understand staffing needs and support smooth onboarding.
• Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system.
• Stay current with recruitment trends and best practices.
• Develop sourcing strategies and tools that increase applicant volume and market awareness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Recruitment Specialist or in a comparable recruiting role.
• Sales-recruitment experience is an asset.
• Strong understanding of recruiting processes, relevant laws and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruitment software.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong organization, detail orientation and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Position details

• Six-month contract with potential extension.
• Full-time remote Monday-to-Friday schedule in Canada.
