Director of Development and Communications @ CPAC

Role overview

Senior leadership role focused primarily on building CPAC’s philanthropic and development function while providing strategic oversight to communications. The position works closely with the CEO, COO, board and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Build and execute an annual development plan and campaign calendar.
• Develop major gifts, broad-based giving, grants and strategic partnerships.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, steward and retain donors, foundations, corporations and other partners.
• Help diversify CPAC’s funding model beyond traditional cable subscriber revenues.
• Support creation and operation of the Philanthropic Advisory Committee and help members activate their networks.
• Strengthen systems and infrastructure required to support long-term fundraising growth.
• Provide strategic communications oversight while keeping development as the immediate priority.
• Represent CPAC externally and strengthen the organization’s profile across Canada.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in fundraising, development, communications or public affairs.
• Experience securing major gifts and/or building fundraising strategies is strongly relevant.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-development ability.
• Ability to move between strategy and hands-on execution.
• Professional fluency in both English and French is required.
• Collaborative leadership style with accountability for results.
