Senior Program Director @ TFO Canada

Role overview

Newly created senior-management role reporting to the Executive Director and serving as the operational head of TFO Canada’s international-programming department.

Key responsibilities

• Own departmental capacity planning, global resource allocation and program execution.
• Lead, mentor and support experienced Program Directors across an integrated portfolio.
• Represent TFO Canada with donors such as Global Affairs Canada and across international-development networks and forums.
• Report to the Board’s Operations Committee on project milestones and resource utilization.
• Centralize project-management practices and replace fragmented tracking methods with common tools and workflows.
• Establish standards for milestones, KPIs and donor Results-Based Management compliance.
• Evaluate new project opportunities against team capacity and technical constraints before commitments are made.
• Plan future capacity as the organization expands its international commitments.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of progressive leadership in international-development program delivery.
• Experience directing complex, large-scale programs in non-profit, NGO, civil-society or government settings.
• Full professional fluency in English and French is mandatory; Spanish is a strong asset.
• Strong resource-planning, leadership and multi-priority management ability.
• Comfort working across diverse cultural contexts and stakeholder groups.
• Collaborative communication style and ability to build credibility internally and externally.

Compensation

Public compensation range: CAD 145,000–160,000 plus eligibility for a management incentive.
