Electro-Pneumatic Systems & Field Service Technician

Position overview

Technician role combining in-shop component work with field service for automated control systems and industrial instrumentation. Work spans precision mechanical assembly, fluid power, pneumatics and low-voltage electrical troubleshooting for clients across Western Canada and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to client facilities to troubleshoot, maintain and repair automated control systems and fluid-power networks.
• Perform component teardowns, inspect wear/fatigue, install rebuild kits, reassemble and calibrate equipment.
• Read schematics, engineering blueprints and circuit diagrams; document service work and discrepancies.
• Install control equipment, fabricate flexible hoses, run rigid piping and perform precision tube bending.
• Support service quoting with material lists and labour-hour estimates.

Conditions

Primarily daytime work with on-call rotation and overtime as needed. Compensation is $45–$50/hour plus benefits and RRSP matching.

• 5+ years in industrial maintenance, assembly or field service with strong pneumatic/hydraulic exposure.
• Mechanical strength plus basic electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Comfortable with mechanic hand tools, shop presses, testing meters and fabrication equipment.
• Strong ability to read fluid-power symbols, industrial blueprints and technical drawings.
• Valid Class 5 licence with clean abstract and unrestricted ability to travel internationally.
• Professional written and spoken English.
