Role description

Groupe Robert is seeking a local-regional Class 1 Driver for its General Transportation division at the Boucherville terminal. This is a full-time night position with departures scheduled around 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive a heavy vehicle between locations, loaded or unloaded, according to assigned routes and schedules.
  • Take responsibility for the vehicle and its cargo.
  • Inspect the vehicle and report any abnormalities.
  • Verify total and axle loads.
  • Complete pickups and deliveries and interact with customers.
  • Perform other related transportation duties.

Qualifications

Candidate profile

  • Valid Class 1 driver's licence.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • At least 1 year of heavy-vehicle driving experience.
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills and sound understanding of company policies.
  • Strong safety mindset and safe driving practices.
