Specialized Driver — Glass Division

Groupe Robert is looking for a specialized Class 1 driver for glass transportation, based at the Varennes terminal. The role involves glass deliveries to the United States on a Tuesday-to-Saturday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate a heavy vehicle, loaded or unloaded, according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Take responsibility for the vehicle, cargo and road safety.
• Inspect the vehicle and report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Verify total and axle loads to anticipate vehicle behaviour.
• Perform pickups and deliveries and meet with customers.
• Obtain required signatures and complete regular driving activities.
• Notify maintenance teams of needed repairs or vehicle issues.
• Secure cargo safely.

• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 specialized-transport experience.
• Excellent driving record.
• Functional French and English required.
• Strong customer service and ability to follow procedures and policies.
• Good communication and understanding of safety policies.
• Ability to secure cargo.
• Valid passport required for U.S. deliveries.
