Role description

Groupe Robert is looking for a local Class 1 driver for its General Transport division at the St-Nicolas terminal in Lévis. The position is on the day shift, Thursday through Monday, with departures around 7:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a heavy vehicle from one location to another, loaded or unloaded, according to assigned routes and schedules.
  • Take responsibility for the vehicle and cargo.
  • Inspect the vehicle and report any issues.
  • Verify total and axle loads.
  • Perform pickups and deliveries and meet with customers.
  • Follow Groupe Robert policies, procedures and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties related to local transportation.

Qualifications

  • Class 1 driver’s licence.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Minimum 1 year of heavy-vehicle driving experience.
  • Good communication and professional attitude.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Safe and disciplined driving practices.
