Role description
Groupe Robert is looking for a Class 1 driver for its local division based at the Sherbrooke terminal. The position is permanent, full-time and on the day shift, Tuesday through Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the vehicle, load and road safety.
- Inspect the general condition of the vehicle and report any issues.
- Verify total and axle loads to anticipate vehicle behaviour.
- Carry out regular activities related to local deliveries and pickups.
- Follow procedures, internal policies and customer-service standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Class 1 driver.
- Excellent driving record.
- Functional French required.
- Safe, courteous and efficient driving.
- Good customer service and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to perform material handling.
