Role description
Position overview
Heavy Equipment Technician position supporting a mining operation in Newfoundland and Labrador. The schedule is 14 days on/14 days off with room and board in camp and fly-in/fly-out travel from Montreal.
Role details
- Work on mining equipment, with Sandvik experience strongly preferred, especially Di550 and Di650 drills.
- Operate in a rotational camp environment.
- Complete required pre-employment checks and provide proof of certification/experience.
Compensation and benefits
$70–$80/hour based on relevant experience, plus extended benefits and RRSP matching.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as a heavy equipment technician.
- 3–5 years mining-equipment experience, particularly drills.
- English speaking ability.
- Permanently legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Able to complete background and medical checks.
- Able to provide certification and experience evidence when requested.
