Role description
Base Camp Connect is seeking an experienced back-end developer, with potential full-stack contribution, to help build a new tactical and strategic communications product.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop back-end services in Rust, Node.js and TypeScript.
- Use PostgreSQL to model, query and evolve product data.
- Contribute to API design and service-to-service flows.
- Write clear, tested, secure and maintainable code and own features through production.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews and DevOps collaboration around deployment, observability, security and reliability.
Qualifications
Approximately 5–10 years of relevant back-end development experience; college or university education in computer science, software engineering or a related field; proficiency with TypeScript or Node.js; interest or experience with Rust; comfort with PostgreSQL; commitment to testing and code quality; bilingual French-English.
