Role description
Base Camp Connect is hiring a Software Developer to design and evolve the components that enable reliable, high-performance and secure IP communications in its tactical and strategic communications solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain IP-telephony software modules.
- Develop services, APIs and integration tools for third-party systems.
- Work with SIP and RTP and diagnose call, signalling and audio-quality issues.
- Analyze network traces, build unit and integration tests, and collaborate with development, QA and technical-support teams.
- Document solutions and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
College or university education in computer science, software engineering or a related field; approximately 3–5 years of software development experience; experience with Asterisk and/or FreePBX; solid understanding of SIP, AS-SIP and RTP; Unix/Linux experience; proficiency in at least one of PHP, Python, C/C++, JavaScript or Shell; bilingual French-English. TLS, SRTP, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes or Agile experience are assets.
