Coring Field Specialist

Role overview

NES Fircroft is recruiting a Coring Field Specialist for Alberta field work supporting the recovery and handling of geological core samples. The contract combines equipment operation, sample-management discipline and mechanical troubleshooting and is designed for winter field conditions and long operational days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, operate and monitor coring equipment at field locations.
• Support the safe retrieval, handling and preservation of core samples.
• Inspect and maintain tools and troubleshoot operational equipment issues.
• Document field activity and coordinate with site and technical personnel.
• Follow HSE requirements for winter and remote field work.

• Relevant coring, drilling, geological field or oilfield-services experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and equipment-maintenance capability.
• Ability to work eight- to twelve-hour field shifts in Alberta winter conditions.
• Strong attention to sample handling and operational documentation.
• Commitment to safe field practices and team-based execution.
