Role description

Role overview

This three-month Toronto capital-markets contract supports global equity-derivatives technology and a structured-notes request-for-quote platform. The Business System Analyst works across front office, middle office, product control, financial engineering and technology teams in Canada, the United States and Europe, translating complex derivatives workflows into requirements and system enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze and document business and system requirements.
  • Create workflows, process diagrams and detailed development specifications.
  • Perform current-to-target gap analysis and propose scalable solutions.
  • Support trading-application integration, production issues and Agile delivery.
  • Coordinate with sales, trading, risk, finance and regulatory/reporting stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years as a Business Analyst.
  • 5+ years gathering requirements for derivative-products trading applications.
  • Strong knowledge of market data, derivatives trade lifecycles, pricing and post-trade events.
  • Experience across front office, risk, finance/accounting and downstream systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree; CFA/FRM, Unix, Python, PL/SQL and automated testing are assets.
