Operations Officer

Role overview

This six-month Toronto contract supports back-office financial operations for a major financial-services environment. The officer processes and completes financial requests and transactions, reviews and updates data in internal systems, works with internal partners and ensures work is accurate and delivered within established service levels and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute operational transactions accurately and on time under established procedures.
• Validate information and perform adjustments within authorized limits.
• Investigate and escalate non-standard or higher-risk activity.
• Support partners and respond to operational requests in a timely manner.
• Review processes for improvement opportunities while maintaining confidentiality and due diligence.

• Post-secondary education or university degree preferred.
• Advanced Excel including lookup functions, pivot tables, formulas and conditional formatting.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of money movement, registered/non-registered products and securities is valuable.
• Banking, wealth operations, transfer processing or CSC/CIRE exposure are assets.
