Operations Officer

Role overview

A five-month Toronto contract supports banking operations and transfer-processing activities. The officer works independently from assigned transfer queues, verifies documentation, identifies discrepancies or missing information and communicates clearly with internal partners to resolve issues while meeting service-level goals.

Responsibilities

• Review transfer documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Process operational transactions and support partner requests.
• Apply bank policies, procedures and due-diligence controls.
• Track assigned work against service-level targets and audit requirements.
• Identify operational risk, escalate exceptions and participate in process improvements.

• University education in business or finance.
• Two to four years of banking or financial-institution experience.
• Transfer/transaction-processing experience.
• Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of financial products, RRSPs, mutual funds, money-market and FX products is valuable.
• Excellent communication, accuracy, analysis and independent time management.
