Role overview

A Toronto financial-services client is hiring a Quantitative Model Analyst for a six-month contract in a Model Health Center of Excellence. The role combines data science, production-model monitoring, governance, validation support, documentation and cross-functional stakeholder management across business owners, model vendors, compliance, risk, technology and validation teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production-model performance, stability, usage and data quality.
• Use Python, SQL, Databricks and PySpark to analyze large datasets and monitoring metrics.
• Investigate threshold breaches, anomalies and emerging model risks.
• Prepare governance documentation and support model onboarding, validation and remediation.
• Coordinate responses to validation, audit, compliance and regulatory inquiries.
• Improve monitoring, automation and governance processes.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative field.
• Two or more years in analytics, data science, model governance/risk, fraud or financial-crime analytics.
• Strong Python and SQL.
• Hands-on Databricks and PySpark experience.
• Understanding of machine learning/AI methodologies and model lifecycle governance.
• Strong documentation, presentation and stakeholder communication.
