Senior Director, Operations, Further Processing

The opportunity

Maple Lodge Farms is recruiting a Senior Director, Operations – Further Processing to lead one of the company’s major manufacturing portfolios.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Operations & Logistics, the role provides strategic and operational leadership across further-processing facilities producing ready-to-eat and tray-pack products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead senior operational teams and build a high-performing culture.
• Deliver a major manufacturing expansion and its associated business case.
• Drive operational excellence, profitability and performance improvement.
• Strengthen labour relations and employee health, safety and wellbeing.
• Partner across Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Sales, Product Development, Human Resources and Continuous Improvement.
• Support commercialization of new products and improve plant performance.
• Maintain strong accountability for operational, commercial and financial objectives.

Extensive senior operations leadership experience in complex, unionized food-manufacturing environments is sought, ideally in protein or ready-to-eat production. Candidates should have led large manufacturing transformations, capital projects or facility start-ups and bring strong commercial and financial acumen. Experience improving margins and operational performance, combined with strong people leadership, collaboration and the ability to lead through complexity and change, is important.
