Role description
The City of La Sarre is seeking a mechanic to maintain its vehicles and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical equipment issues.
- Perform welding and equipment-part modifications.
- Follow preventive maintenance programs.
- Manage periodic parts inventory and tracking.
- Maintain proper storage of parts, tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- DEP in heavy-equipment, diesel or construction-equipment mechanics, or equivalent training.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience.
- Class 3 driver’s licence.
- Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Welding knowledge.
Additional information
- Permanent full-time position in La Sarre.
- Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 34 hours per week.
- Pay: $42.33/hour.
