BIM / VDC Modeller, Buildings

Outpost Recruitment is recruiting a BIM/VDC Modeller for a mechanical contractor in Vancouver. The role focuses on fabrication-ready MEP models for plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems in commercial, industrial and multi-residential projects.

Key responsibilities:
• Build and maintain detailed Revit fabrication models.
• Use Navisworks Manage for clash detection and multi-trade coordination.
• Produce construction drawings and fabrication-ready models.
• Support project managers and site teams with constructability reviews.
• Coordinate electrical, fire-protection and HVAC systems.
• Produce model-based quantity take-offs and support estimating.
• Maintain revisions and model consistency throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate profile:
• Proficiency in Revit for MEP modeling and fabrication detailing.
• Strong Navisworks Manage skills for clash detection and coordination.
• Understanding of electrical, fire-protection and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with prefabrication and model-based construction planning.
• Ability to interpret building codes and standards.
• Autodesk Revit, BIM 360/ACC and Bluebeam experience; Trimble and Dynamo are assets.
