Commercial Manager, Infrastructure

Outpost Recruitment is recruiting a Commercial Manager for a large civil contractor in Vancouver. Reporting to senior operations leadership, the position provides commercial and contractual support from pre-bid through project closeout.

Key responsibilities:
• Draft, review and negotiate construction, consortium, joint-venture and partnership agreements.
• Review bid packages and support commercial strategy for tenders.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and maintain mitigation plans and risk registers.
• Manage change orders, claims, disputes and external-counsel coordination.
• Establish and enforce contract-management policies and procedures.
• Monitor customer-contract performance and commercial reporting.
• Build relationships with clients, partners, consultants and subcontractors.

Candidate profile:
• Degree or diploma in construction, engineering, legal, business, finance or related field.
• At least 5 years in a similar commercial role with a medium or large construction/engineering firm.
• Knowledge of construction and procurement law and risk mitigation.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Knowledge of CCDC/CCA contracts and public/private infrastructure tendering is an asset.

Published salary: CAD 150,000–190,000. Exceptional overseas candidates requiring sponsorship may be considered.
