Field Engineer, Excavation & Foundations

Outpost Recruitment is recruiting a Field Engineer for a leading civil contractor in Vancouver. The role supports major civil projects, with emphasis on deep foundations and underground work.

Key responsibilities:
• Assist with procurement and project execution.
• Help plan work sequencing, schedules, estimates and project forecasts.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate technical follow-up, inspections, plans and specifications.
• Support technical-data collection, constructability reviews and alternative solutions.
• Assist with budgets, cost control, reporting and accounts-payable activities.
• Participate in business-development activities and client presentations.

Candidate profile:
• Education in civil engineering, construction engineering or a related program.
• 3+ years in a similar Field Engineer or Site Engineer role.
• Knowledge of construction methods, financial management, building codes and legislation.
• Project-management and team-collaboration experience.
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills.

Published salary: CAD 75,000–100,000. The employer also describes a competitive benefits package.
