Claims Manager / Commercial Manager, Infrastructure

Outpost Recruitment is recruiting a senior Claims / Commercial Manager for a major infrastructure contractor, with opportunities in Vancouver, Toronto and remote project locations. The role oversees commercial and claims management on large projects, often above CAD 200 million.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead commercial oversight and claims strategy across major projects.
• Prepare and defend claims and manage project-change procedures.
• Advise operations and project directors on contractual and commercial issues.
• Identify and manage commercial risk across projects.
• Lead, mentor and train commercial team members.
• Coordinate with finance and legal departments.
• Manage commercial policies, procedures and project reporting.

Candidate profile:
• Minimum 15 years of relevant major-contractor experience in project change, cost management, claims and dispute settlement.
• Senior-level experience on major projects or as a Commercial/Claims Manager.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
• Joint-venture and international-major-contractor experience preferred.
• MRICS, MCIOB or MCIArb designations are desirable.
• Ability to travel or relocate within Canada as project needs require.

Published salary: CAD 160,000–225,000. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada.
