Role description

Hands-on engineering role inside an established Canadian manufacturer modernizing operations with AI, automation and custom software. The engineer works directly with business teams to identify high-value problems and deliver production systems from discovery through adoption.

Key responsibilities

  • Translate operational problems into requirements, measurable outcomes and working software.
  • Build full-stack applications, integrations, data pipelines and AI-enabled tools.
  • Connect ERP, accounting, e-commerce, shipping, spreadsheet and plant-data systems.
  • Use LLMs, retrieval and agents where they create measurable value.
  • Own testing, access control, monitoring, documentation, training and support.
  • Create reusable standards from successful one-off solutions.

Qualifications

Profile

  • Production software experience with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript or similar, plus SQL and API integrations.
  • Experience deploying AI or automation into live business processes.
  • Ability to work across frontend, backend, data and infrastructure.
  • Canadian work authorization and regular on-site availability in Montréal.

Additional information

Full-time permanent, on-site in Saint-Henri. Base salary advertised up to C$200,000 plus a performance incentive. Manufacturing, ERP, logistics or industrial-data experience is advantageous.
