Senior Data Engineer (Streaming + AI Systems)

Senior data-engineering role with a capital-backed industrial/infrastructure operator building a modern data platform from the ground up. The engineer owns real-time data architecture and production ML enablement with direct impact on operational and financial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Architect real-time and batch pipelines with Kafka, Spark and AWS services.
• Develop scalable lakehouse architecture for analytics and ML.
• Build production ML pipelines including feature engineering and real-time inference.
• Apply time-series, regression and anomaly-detection methods to business problems.
• Use infrastructure-as-code and improve reliability, observability and performance.
• Evaluate tooling and architecture patterns across data and applied AI.

Profile

• Proven production data-platform experience.
• Deep knowledge of streaming and distributed processing.
• Strong system design and end-to-end ML/data-pipeline ownership.
• Experience with AWS, Spark, Kafka and Terraform or comparable tools.

Greater Toronto Area. Compensation advertised up to C$150,000 plus bonus and perks.
