Senior Software Engineer, Platform (Remote within Canada)

Platform-engineering role supporting isolated AI-agent execution environments for a fast-growing remote-first software company. The work sits between product engineering and infrastructure and is primarily application code that controls runtime and cloud primitives.

Responsibilities

• Build systems for provisioning, updating, securing and observing isolated execution environments.
• Create reusable queue, lock, background-job and service-bus abstractions.
• Extend infrastructure-as-code patterns using Pulumi.
• Work with Linux, storage, containers, permissions, logging and runtime debugging.
• Implement migration, retry, failure-recovery and zero-downtime deployment patterns.

Profile

• 6+ years of software engineering with meaningful platform, systems or infrastructure depth.
• Strong production backend skills and hands-on cloud experience.
• Infrastructure-as-code and container expertise; Docker required.
• Experience designing reliable asynchronous systems and strong security instincts.

Remote-first within Canada. Compensation advertised up to C$200,000 plus equity, health benefits, wellness stipend, 20 PTO days and a C$1,500 home-office stipend.
