Role description

Software-development role with an established Montréal fintech operating data-intensive financial platforms. The position focuses on the collection, transformation and delivery of real-time data while giving developers ownership of projects from design through production.

Responsibilities

  • Build scalable, high-performance software using sound engineering practices.
  • Contribute to architecture, implementation and testing decisions.
  • Partner with operations and platform teams to maintain production reliability.
  • Evaluate new technologies and apply them to core systems.
  • Lead projects and solve complex design and coding problems.
  • Protect the accuracy and consistency of real-time data feeds.

Qualifications

Profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, software engineering or related field.
  • 2–10 years of software-development experience.
  • Strong Python or C++ skills; experience with both is advantageous.
  • Interest in fintech and strong attention to data quality.
  • Relational database experience is useful; Redis, RabbitMQ, GraphQL, Kafka, MongoDB, ELK, Docker and networking experience are assets.

Additional information

Hybrid role in Old Montréal. Compensation advertised up to C$140,000 plus perks and performance bonuses.
