Role overview
Nova Scotia Power is seeking a Director, Talent & Workforce Strategy to connect long-term business priorities with workforce planning, talent acquisition, leadership development, succession, diversity/equity/inclusion and organizational effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead forward-looking workforce strategy aligned with long-term business priorities.
- Partner with senior leaders and Emera’s Corporate HR team to anticipate future capabilities and workforce needs.
- Strengthen talent, leadership and succession pathways and support employee development and reskilling.
- Use workforce analytics and market intelligence to translate emerging needs into practical strategies.
- Build partnerships with educational institutions, industry associations and talent networks.
Qualifications
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive HR or talent-management experience.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide talent/workforce initiatives and partnering with executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or a related field.
- CPHR designation and change-management certification are assets.
