Automotive Service Technician

Penticton Kia is hiring a Red Seal Automotive Service Technician for its service department in Penticton. The position is part of the Bannister Automotive Group and focuses on accurate diagnostics, repairs and maintenance to manufacturer standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles to Kia OEM standards.
• Complete multi-point inspections and identify required services.
• Complete repair orders efficiently while maintaining quality.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors so customer communication is clear.
• Perform post-repair road tests and quality checks.
• Use diagnostic equipment, repair software and OEM tools.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and safe.
• Support team collaboration and mentorship.

• Red Seal Automotive Service Technician / Journeyperson certification.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Comfort with diagnostic equipment, repair software and OEM tools.
• Valid BC driver’s licence and clean driving abstract.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to manage priorities in a busy shop.
• Professional communication and teamwork.

Conditions

• Permanent, full-time.
• Monday to Friday, approximately 40 hours per week.
• Flat-rate wage of $38.40–$40.00/hour depending on experience.
