Production Supervisor – Steel Manufacturing

Full-time direct-hire production-supervision role in a non-union heavy-industrial steel-manufacturing facility in Essex. Reporting to the Production Manager, the role oversees production processes, safety, troubleshooting and team performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple departments and provide technical support to improve operating efficiency.
• Ensure employees are trained on their jobs, safety procedures, workstation controls and equipment use.
• Review daily operating reports for compliance and communicate manufacturing and maintenance issues before they create delays.
• Prepare reports and relevant information for senior management.
• Enforce company and Ministry of Labour safety practices.
• Troubleshoot operational and tooling problems to improve quality and efficiency.
• Build and maintain a positive team-oriented environment.
• Evaluate employee performance against job requirements and behavioural indicators.
• Handle discipline in coordination with plant management and Human Resources when required.
• Ensure injured employees receive immediate medical treatment and incidents are reported into EHS.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education, technical diploma or equivalent steel-manufacturing experience.
• Computer proficiency for reporting and operational tracking.
• Strong communication skills for team leadership and cross-department coordination.
• Ability to lead and promote health-and-safety practices required by regulators and company policy.
• Regular, predictable full-time onsite attendance.
• Ability to work a three-shift rotation covering days, afternoons and midnights.

• Pay: $30.95–$38.00 per hour plus an hourly incentive of approximately $15–$25.
