Head of Network Operations (NOC)

Role overview

A Montréal clean-energy technology company is building a Network Operations Center to support connected residential products and cloud infrastructure. The Head of NOC is a senior operational leader responsible for designing the 24/7 monitoring and support model, incident response, cloud operations, escalation processes, technical support and the procedures required as the deployed product base grows.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a 24/7 Network Operations Center.
• Define monitoring, incident-management, escalation and change/release processes.
• Lead first-line operations and ensure complex incidents move through resolution.
• Design operational practices for Azure cloud infrastructure, capacity, performance and cost.
• Develop knowledge-management, root-cause and corrective-action processes.
• Coordinate Engineering, Product, Support, Sales, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams.

• Senior experience leading network/cloud operations or NOC functions.
• Strong incident, problem and change-management capability.
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge with emphasis on Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to build teams, operating processes and 24/7 support models.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and advanced technical troubleshooting.
